Personal update: three weeks ago we went to Arizona. The Grand Canyon was awesome. I’m never going to ride in a helicopter again. Sedona was beautiful. My feet swelled up, because that’s what they do on planes. Two weeks after we got back, they were still swollen (up and down, a bit of a rollercoaster). So I went to the doctor on Monday to make sure I wasn’t dying. Tests were done. No blood clots. No venus insufficiency. So still a bit of a puzzle. But they’ve been a lot better the last 2 days, so I have hopes that I’m on the mend and that the roller coaster is about to come to a full and complete halt for now.
Side note: I bought a yoga mat while I was in Arizona and really enjoyed having it in our VRBO. It’s not like I never do yoga on vacation, but having a *mat* (even a cheapo inferior one) was really nice. It’s kinda like how I often don’t use my mat during class, but it’s still my ‘home base’ — without it, I feel a bit adrift and disoriented. My yoga mat is a much better home base than the couch.
